Valid Medical Fitness Certificate in line with the requirements of PMA Circular MMC 261 P.10.

Company letter (signed by legal company representative) requesting the position onboard their company vessel. This letter must be on company letterhead, clearly indicating company information, rig/vessel name, rig/vessel IMO Number and applicant’s experience.

Basic Safety Training Certificate of Proficiency (Regulation VI/1, Section A-VI/1, Table A-VI/1).

Security Awareness Training for all Seafarers

The Panama Embassy has initiated an express processing procedure whereby Seaman’s Books can be issued on the same day if all documentation requirements are correct and are submitted by 10AM.
The additional filing fee for this rapid processing procedure is USD100.00.

On receipt of this completed Panama Seaman’s Book Application Form and all correct documentation as listed above, we will present the application to the Panama Embassy for processing.
We require to know if the seafarer is going to a Mobile Offshore Unit (MOU) because the Certificate(s) of Proficiency for MOUs must contain a reference to Resolution A.1079(28) of the International Maritime Organisation’s Recommendations for the Training and Certification of Personnel on Mobile Offshore Units (MOUs).
If Certificate(s) of Proficiency do contain reference to Resolution A.1079(28) of the International Maritime Organisation’s Recommendations for the Training and Certification of Personnel on Mobile Offshore Units (MOUs), they may not be accepted on vessels which are not MOUs.
Soft copies of Temporary Certificate(s)/Document(s) and Full-term Certificate(s)/Document(s) will be emailed to applicant and contact person on receipt from the Panama Embassy.
Original hard copies of Temporary Certificate(s)/Document(s) and Full-term Certificate(s)/Document(s) will be sent via courier to the “Postal Address for Delivery of Certificate(s)/Document(s)” as stated above within 2 working days of receipt of payment in full (as applicable).
